The challenge
Behind the scenes at
Attractiepark Slagharen.
Booking a stay, paying, receiving entry tickets or ordering something extra. For the guest it all belongs to one visit to Slagharen.
Behind those moments, different systems are at work, each with its own data and processes. From reservations, group bookings and payments to tickets and parking access. Everything has to connect, without unnecessary steps for staff.
The brief: keep the existing systems and make them work together as one whole.
The solution
One connecting layer between all systems.
We developed middleware that exchanges data between the different systems of Slagharen.
Reservations, payments, tickets and access are aligned with each other. The middleware translates data, processes events and makes information available where it is needed.
Systems
- MewsReservations
- MagicGroup packages
- MolliePayments
- VivaticketTickets
- SkidataParking access
- Translates data
- Processes events
- Passes information on
What it delivers
- Tickets printed at the kiosk
- Group tickets printed in one go
- Licence plates recognised at parking access
- Confirmations to the guest
- Self-service during the stay
Each system talks to the middleware, not directly to the other systems.
What we built
From a reservation
to a working process.
-
Booking, checking in and getting in.
A reservation from Mews is translated into the right ticket products in Vivaticket.
We developed the integration for product mapping, checkout, barcode storage and ticket printing at the kiosks. Licence plates are processed too, for access to the car park.

Paying, and straight away the right confirmation.
For Mollie we developed a payment integration that checks payments and processes them in Mews.
Payment confirmations are processed through webhooks. The guest receives the right information while the administration is updated.
Schematic view -
More convenience during the stay.
The middleware supports additional services, such as self-service check-in and booking barbecue and gourmet packages. Orders are processed, scheduled and passed on to the kitchen and the guest.
We also built a crowd indicator for the Aqua Mexicana swimming pool.

Groups and packages, ready on arrival.
Group outings and business packages are planned in Magic. Every morning the middleware automatically fetches that planning, up to two months ahead.
Each package is translated into the right ticket products in Vivaticket. Staff print all entry tickets and vouchers for a group in one go, with the group name, the package and the validity on them.

Result
Fewer separate actions.
More room for the guest.
Reservations, group packages, payments, tickets and additional orders line up better. Staff no longer have to copy information over and over, and have more ways to manage processes.
For guests this means a coherent experience, from booking a stay to entering the park. We keep managing and developing the underlying integrations.
