Zuidberg.
One digital platform for different user groups.
Zuidberg develops and produces solutions for tractors and mobile machines. Together we build a digital platform, a native app and smart integrations that support end users, dealers, importers and the internal organisation.

The challenge
Different users, each with their own information need.
A dealer ordering a power lift uses the website differently from an end user looking for technical information. And a Zuidberg employee needs yet other information and functionality.
At the same time, much of the data is interconnected: tractors, products, accessories, parts, documentation, customer data and orders.
So the challenge was not only a new website. We wanted to bring all information and functionality together logically, and get every user to the right information quickly.
The solution
One platform for customers, dealers and colleagues.
Product information, orders, parts and management come together in one digital environment. Every user gets access to the information and functionality relevant to them.
Explore the platform-
Mijn Zuidberg A personal environment for dealers and other Zuidberg users, with relevant products, information, documentation and services in one place. -
Article selector A dealer or importer selects the brand and type of tractor and immediately sees which power lift, PTO and accessories fit. The chosen combination can then be ordered. -
Spare parts Technical drawings become digitally searchable. Article numbers are recognised, linked to the right parts and can be ordered directly from the website. -
Beheer Tractors, products, accessories, users and content are managed centrally. The setup matches the way Zuidberg works internally.
Digital strategy
First understand who we're building for.
Zuidberg stands for innovation, quality and reliability. We translated those spearheads into various parts of the website, the app and a range of media. The starting point for every one of these is mapping the target audience(s). Which information is a priority for which audience?
To answer that question, we use the MBTI model. It gives us insight into the different kinds of users. Are we dealing with a competitive visitor or a spontaneous one, for example?
UX/UI design
A lot of information, without it feeling complicated.
Behind the Zuidberg platform sits a lot of technical and commercial information. For the user, that complexity should be as invisible as possible.
So we put a lot of care into the information architecture, navigation, search functions, selection steps and the way information is presented.
A dealer who knows exactly what they need should be able to act quickly. A user who first wants to explore which solution fits their tractor should be guided through it just as logically.
The design supports both.
Business integration
The website is part of the business process.
We work closely with Zuidberg on integrated solutions. A key part of that is processing data from Exact. We turn that data into components that appear on the Zuidberg website.
The ‘article selector’ is a good example. Through a selection procedure, Zuidberg dealers and importers arrive at an end product that fits the chosen tractor, such as a power lift or PTO with matching accessories. The order can then be placed directly, after which it is automatically sent to Zuidberg and read into Exact. That completes the integrated implementation.
Another part is the ‘spare parts selector’. Here Zuidberg dealers and importers can look up parts using a PDF drawing made clickable with OCR techniques (optical character recognition). A system we developed reads the PDF and recognises the article numbers on the drawing. These parts can also be ordered on the website.
These integrated solutions make Zuidberg’s ordering process considerably more efficient.
App development
The PTO Controller, operated from your smartphone.
For the PTO Controller we developed a native app for iOS and Android.
The app communicates with the controller over Bluetooth. Users can read settings, adjust configurations and update software.
That connects not only digital systems with each other, but also the machine itself with Zuidberg's digital environment.
The result
One digital foundation for user and organisation.
Website, product information, article selector, spare parts, orders, user management and app do not function as separate parts. They work together.
Dealers and importers find the right product faster. End users get information that matches their question. Orders line up with the underlying systems. And Zuidberg can manage product information and relationships centrally.
That reduces manual work and makes processes more efficient.
- Faster access to the right products
- Integrated systems
- More efficient processes
We work closely with partners who, like us, are customer-focused, innovative and competitive. VWA digital agency is an excellent example of that!
Ongoing development
We keep building together.
The partnership with Zuidberg does not stop after a launch.
New questions from users and the organisation lead to new functionality, integrations and improvements. That way the website, platform and app keep developing.
Not because something new always has to be built, but because it can fit better with what Zuidberg and its users need.
